     Hank Monk was an experienced California stagecoach driver.     One day Horace Greeley who Hank Monk had taken a liken to ask for a favor

     Horace Greeley was running late and needed old Hank Monk to put that team to a test.      Hank Monk to put the touch to those reigns of six

     Flat out in a dead run they went with little reserve giving Horace Greeley the ride of his life in 1859

     Many a story has been told about that stagecoach ride and the famous quote of Hank Monk hollering back to the admired Horace Greeley, "Keep your seat, Horace, I'll get you there on time

     Hank Monk Stagecoach Driver for Wells, Fargo reportedly between Sacramento, California and Virginia City, Nevada till his death in 1883
