     Lisa Manuel  was one of  the most noted Fur trader 's and frontier explorer 's in history.    Lisa Manuel was a hard line fur trader

    The highly successful Missouri Fur Company was envisioned and developed heavy handed by Lisa Manuel

     First known for his cunning trading with the Indians Lisa Manuel began frequenting the western forts in the Northwest as early as 1807

     Lisa Manuel  was frequently referred to as a rascal and scoundrel by his enemies
