Born: January 31,1875 in Zanesville, Ohio

Died: 1939

     Although Zane Grey studied and practiced dentistry, Zane Grey 's claim to fame was as a writer of epic novels of the west.   Zane Grey 's 78 books carried the fictional, romance of the west to an uppermost limit 

     Zane Grey novels were only out sold by two books The Bible and the McGuffey's reader during  Zane Grey 's lifetime 

     The Riders of the Purple Sage was a Zane Grey master piece.     The Thundering Herd was the runner up achieving spell bonding popularity for Zane Grey.    These are the best known novels of Zane Grey
