Born: August 17, 1786 near Limestone, Kentucky
Died: March 6, 1836 at the Alamo near San Antonio, Texas
 

     Davy Crockett was a Frontiersman known for his bear hunting abilities.    Davy Crockett  fought in the Creek Indian War under Andrew Jackson

     Davy Crockett  had a keen sense of humor which made him many friends.  Davy Crockett served in the state legislature and then in congress representing the State of Tennessee  

     After he lost his bid for reelection, Davy Crockett told Tennessee and politics to go to hell that he was going to Texas

    On February 8, 1836 Davy Crockett arrived at the Alamo with his group of Tennessee Mounted Volunteers and fought against Santa Anna during the siege of the Alamo
