William Clark, Lewis and Clark Expedition

William Clark

born: August 1, 1770 in Caroline County, Virginia
died: 1838 in St. Louis, Missouri
 

    William Clark was a highly educated man becoming a geographical expert with great passion and skill for his profession.    William Clark became a famous Explorer of the west 

     William Clark co-lead the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804-1806.    William Clark  Published the journals of the expedition in 1814

     In 1807 William Clark was made superintendent of Indian affairs in St. Louis

    In 1813, William Clark was governor of Missouri Territory until 1821
