Displayed is a fine brass, Aladdin Railroad coach lamp found in coaches, cabooses and trainmasters' offices throughout the west. It has a full circular wick for putting out a high volume of light see photo to the left. It shines through a very tall chimney and is mounted in a spring loaded bracket as seen in the photo for shock loading on a train. This model has a double adjustable spring loaded bracket complete with a wick trimmer in holder. This Coach Lamp has an accessory lamp shade that slides on over the chimney. The shade needs some work as in recovered it is not shown in the photo. The metal bracket and thumb screws holding the lamp in are blued. The rest of the lamp is predominately solid brass.
This is the last Aladdin Railroad coach lamp from my collection. It is the best of all it is a fully functional lamp with spare consumables and several other spare parts. There is a spare burner, several spare wicks, second wick trimmer, spare chimney, mantel tree. Consumables and Spare Parts are Available only with this sale.
